After a couple of very busy weeks for the critters, it was finally time for the auditions of the best production of Little Red Riding Hood the world has ever seen to begin! But first they needed a stage...
Esmeralda the unicorn and Roman the fox decided they weren't interested in performing in the play, concluding that they were already famous enough, but they were intrigued by the idea of designing the stage. This worked out perfectly because director Gina and co-director Xavier hadn't given the set design much thought as yet. Esmeralda and Roman started with some sketches.
Then collected together some materials. They were beginning to feel a little overwhelmed by the enormity of their undertaking, but they reassured each other that getting started is always the hardest part and it'd be easier than it first appeared.
They found a nicely shaped box which would make an excellent stage.
Then they cut, sticky taped and sawed.
Now they had pillars and a curtain rod.
They put in the blank backdrop and started to see the set take shape!
As luck would have have it they found some trees in their bits'n'bobs cupboard that were exceptionally perfect for the set.
And voilà! The stage was audition ready! Esmeralda and Roman still had plenty of work to do with painting the set, putting in curtains and making the grandma's bed, but they knew how eager everyone was for the auditions to begin so they went off to plan the next set and discuss costume design.
