It was finally time to bake the pepparkakor!!! They got stuck into it, rolling out the dough (a two person job for critters), choosing shapes and cutting them out. Clifford took charge of the baking. He appraised his work, while in he background Norris and Patrick discussed how many pepparkakor they could fit in their mouths at one time (Norris reckoned seven and Patrick eight). When they looked around the kitchen they were super impressed with their achievements, they would be eating pepparkakor for weeks!!! It was then time for the pepparkakshus (gingerbread house) making to begin! Patrick measured and cut out the pieces. There was an incident of flour in the face, Patrick is quite embarrassed about this so would prefer if we don't dwell on it (he tripped over the cutting board and face planted into the flour). Norris carefully laid out the pieces on trays using a cheese-slicer, an essential pepparkaks making instrument. While Clifford made the icing cement, putting his newly acquired stirring strength to the test. Time to assemble the house! Patrick and Clifford looked on apprehensively, but Norris was feeling eager and couldn't wait to get started. Norris took charge of the cementing and did an excellent job, while Clifford and Patrick yelled out encouragement and generally gave off positive and supportive vibes.
