The critters found a new game, klop, on their recent trip to Melbourne. They were super excited and decided this beautiful spring-esque day would be the perfect time to try it out in the park.
Ada the giraffe and Lily the red panda started setting up the game while Augustine the turtle and Harry the yeti read the instructions. It seemed fairly straight forward - you throw a small log at a bunch of numbered pegs and try to get to 50 point.
Augustine was the first to give the small log a whirl and what a whirl it was!
Augustine scored 12 points, the maximum amount possible on the first go! Everyone looked on in amazement and awe. None of them were sure they could match Augustine's efforts, but it was still anyone's game!
Harry was the score keeper and did an excellent job of it, yetis are known world wide for their fairness in games.
All the critters had a few turns and revelled in their own little successes.
But as the game neared its end and Harry added up the scores it came down to one throw, if Augustine scored 4 points victory would be his! With his confidence still soaring from his first outstanding hit, Augustine took aim and he knew as soon as the small log left his hands that he would hit the no.4 peg. He won!!! He enjoyed a very proud moment before they launched into another round.
