The Bowerbird Bazaar market was great as always - lots of lovely people and great stalls. Here are my picks for the market, in no particular order. Ask Alice with stunning stationary - the designs are so simple and playful. Whenever I see her stall I want to buy everything! She also has a super cute website! Gretel Girl with her array of product, from wood blocks to jewellery and crockery. I particularly love her plates and mugs - super cute! And Agostino and Brown with their simple yet striking timber furniture. Unfortunately my photos aren't doing any of them justice! Next time I'll have to bring my proper camera and stop relying on my ancient iphone. Add Comment I took my synthesizer with me to Adelaide this weeked and it has been quite a hit! So I thought I'd repost the synthesizer in the making clip for all the market goers. Enjoy! Most people have a horror movie they watched when they were a little too young that stayed with them and haunted their childhood. Well last night I revisited mine - The Woman In Black. My family weren't even allowed to say the words 'woman in black' or my imagination would go into overdrive! A remake of the original has just come out so I figured if I watched it I would dispel all my childhood fears (especially seeing as Daniel Radcliffe plays the main character and to me he will always be Harry Potter). As you can probably imagine it had the opposite effect and I was almost as terrified as when I was a child - luckily I was also sewing at the time so I had a good excuse to look away when needed. Admittedly I have a very low tolerance for horror and rarely expose myself to it. Here is the trailer if you want to check it out! I've been sewing like crazy over the last couple of weeks in preparation for the Bowerbird Bazaar market happening in Adelaide this weekend!!! I've still got a couple of manic working days ahead of me before I fly across super early on Friday morning. Here are some of the little critters that will be joining me on the trip - I'm sure my housemates will be pleased to be have the use of the couches again, the softies aren't always great at sharing! I just started reading It Chooses you by Miranda July which I highly recommend - even though I'm not very far into it, it has already revealed its awesomeness. It also reminded me of a Youtube video by Miranda July I saw thanks to Made by Fate blog - 'a handy tip for the easily distracted' - check it out! Today I thought I'd share some illustrations by a talented friend of mine who goes by the name of Beau Wylie. His work ranges form detailed watercolours and drawings to humorous more cartoon-like illustrations. He also makes awesome greeting cards! To get your hands on his work check out his Etsy store. As it happens he also has a blog called 'photos of TVs outside blog' which is very entertaining - each photo is accompanied by a description of what you're looking at in the photo. See exhibit A below. I recommend having a look! tv with brick house, road and flora This is what the yetis got up to today.. Marvin discovered toast for the very first time and as a result barely left the kitchen all day! Olga studied the terrarium and came to the conclusion that if she was a mini tortoise it'd be the ideal place to live! Gavin had the notion that he'd be an exceptional photographer, so he rounded up his friends for a photo shoot. This is the result of Gavin's photography exploits - everyone was in agreement that he is indeed an exceptional photographer! And Augusto watched Maru the cat videos on YouTube. He particularly enjoyed Maru's latest shenanigans - Trash box and Maru 2, which he wanted to share with everyone. If you'd like a mischievous yeti in your house, these four are all up for grabs in my Big Cartel shop! |
